Tom, Brad, and Biggles spent New Year's Day recovering at Watsons Bay, in particular, at Doyles on the Beach. The day ended at the Centennial Parklands, where the country (rather boringly) celebrated its Bicentennial. Brad, Tom, and Biggles elected to spend the Bicentennial at the Cargo Bar, a fine establishment of the King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour.
Exploring the attractions around the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay comprised the next day, which was to be rather rowdily ended in Kings Cross, Sydney's red light district.
